Within 12-13 May 2012 the first round of the Europe Cup in Cross Country and also Poland Championship and Poland Cup took place. The competition was held in an unusual place, on the mine waste dump where is a track from 7 to 9 km long with many drives and arduous uphill roads.

Carpathian Couriers Race

Within 02-06.05.2012 the Carpathian Couriers Race was held. The four-stage race is one of the most important junior races, which take place in the middle part of the old continent. This year’s competition was very stiff, mainly due to strong foreign teams. 25 teams were included to the start list, where 9 of them were Polish teams, among which the Pogoń Mostostal Puławy. At the fourth stage, Mr Głuszak Dariusz from Pogoń Mostostal Puławy took 5th place and 10th place in the general classification.

Opening of the cycle season 2012

The third official presentation of the cycle team KS Pogoń Mostostal Puławy took place on Friday, 20 April 2012, in the Tavern in Parchatka near Puławy. Except for the cycle team and its coaches also the representatives of the sponsors, sport activists, members of a local government, and the deputy minister Włodzimierz Karpiński participated in this meeting.

Mostostal Puławy a sponsor of a charity event

On Friday, 13 April 2012, at 7.30 p.m. the final of “the Dancing with VIPs” was held in the Congress Centre of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin. The final Gala was full of attractions. The participants of the last year’s edition of the Dancing with VIPs attended the fashion show and presented the latest collections of the Lublin fashion salons of Ada and Adam. The jurors were the members of the comedy group Smile and Krzysztof Grabczuk, the Vice Marshal of the Lublin Province. The star of the evening was Piotr Cugowski. The income from the tickets sold was allocated for supporting community centres of the Lublin region. Mostostal Puławy joined the charity action and was one of the sponsors of this event.

Installation of a biomass boiler in the Netherlands

At the end of March 2012 Mostostal Puławy began installation of a biomass boiler, located near the city of Groningen in the Netherlands. The scope of work includes installation of the CFB boiler pressure part, ducts, fittings, fans, low-pressure piping and exhaust gas purification system. Completion of the work is expected for December this year.
